POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:
Mechanical Engineer in Training Graduate – Junior
Specific Responsibilities and Tasks include:
- Assis Lead Mechanical Engineer with aspects of projects including HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection for commercial buildings.
- Perform drafting/modeling tasks in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Manage project tasks that are assigned to you by the lead mechanical engineer.
- Assist with preparation of construction documents (drawings and specifications).
- Write specifications, prepare schedules and assist with technical reports and control schedules, budgets.
- Perform onsite reviews, contract administration.
- Attend meeting with clients, other consultants and contractors.
- Prepare design calculations with assistance from lead mechanical engineer.
- Assist with condition assessments on existing building systems, prepare written reports.
Qualifications
- 1 – 4 years of relevant experience in the design of building Mechanical systems including HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection required. Experience must be in building consulting engineering.
- Registration as an EIT with EGM.
- Experience in AutoCAD and MS Office required.
- Experience in Revit is not required but valued.
- Good initiative, attentive to details, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional time management and promptness is a requirement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to understand and complete assigned tasks on time is a requirement.
- Ability to obtain Government of Canada CISD Security Clearance
- Travel required; 1-3 days per month on average with overnight stays in other provinces.
- Driver’s License and access to vehicle required.

Mechanical Engineer/ Mechanical Technologist – Intermediate
Specific Responsibilities and Tasks include:
- Leads the mechanical
aspects of projects including HVAC, Plumbing and Fire protection design for commercial buildings. This entails both delegating project design tasks and performing design task (depending on project size). - Manage projects and deadlines while keeping the mechanical engineer of record and department manager well informed of project status.
- Prepare construction documents (drawings and specifications).
- Write specifications, schedules and technical reports and control schedules, budgets.
- Perform onsite reviews, contract administration
- Attend meeting with clients, other consultants and contractors
- Prepare design calculations and review plans for compliance with client requirements,
guidelines, codes and other regulations. - Perform condition assessments on existing building systems, prepare written reports
- Perform all other tasks related to design and site review of building Mechanical systems.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior technical staff.
Qualifications
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the design of building Mechanical systems including
HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection required. Experience must be in building consulting engineering. - Registration as a C.E.T., Ctech with CTTAM or P. Eng or Eng.L. with EGM.
- Experience in AutoCAD and MS Office required.
- Experience in Revit is not required but valued.

- Prepare construction documents (drawings and specifications).
- Write specifications, schedules, budgets, technical reports and control schedules.
- Perform onsite reviews, contract administration
- Attend meeting with clients, other consultants and contractors
- Prepare design calculations and review plans for compliance with client requirements, guidelines, codes and other regulations.

- Perform relevant design tasks and site review of electrical building systems.
