POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE:

Junior Computer Aided Design/ Building Information Technology Technician

Specific Responsibilities and Tasks include:

  • Preparing AutoCAD and Revit Drawings based on Engineer and
    Technologist Design work for Mechanical, Electrical and Communications and
    Security Engineering Projects
  • Manage deadlines while keeping department manager well informed of
    project status.
  • Prepare construction documents (drawings and specifications).
  • Attend meeting with design teams, other consultants and contractors.
  • Adhere to office CAD/BIM Standards and perform review of client
    CAD/BIM standards
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to technical staff on CAD and BIM.

Qualifications 

  • 0-5 years of relevant experience in the design of building electrical
    systems.
  • Drafting/CAD Program from Red River Polytechnic or Manitoba Institute
    of Trades and Technology.
  • Experience in AutoCAD, Revit and MS Office
  • Ability to obtain and Government of Canada Security Clearance.
  • Driver’s License for limited site visit work
  • Good initiative, attentive to details, ability to work independently
    and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
